Announcements

New competition rules posted on the downloads page.

Congratulations to all who competed in the October 27 Karate Alberta Tournament and thank you to all who volunteered to help the tournament run smoothly.  Complete tournament results can be found here.

November presents us with opportunities to continue reinforcing our basics, as we did throughout October.  Those of you who competed in the October 27 Karate Alberta tournament have an even better opportunity to take what you learned in the competition, apply it to your training and assess your improvements in the next competition:  The All Alberta Karate Invitational being held on November 24th.  As well, we will continue to help our athletes vying for a spot on the Alberta Provincial team in their preparations.  Senior National Championships will be held on January 19-20, 2019 at Gatineau’s Centre Sportif while the Junior National Championships will be held from May 3-5, 2019 at the Edmonton Expo Centre.

And last, but certainly not least, congratulations to Sempai Mariah Blunt as she achieved her Nidan at our summer camp held in Halifax this past July.  Well done and well-deserved!

Nevertheless, she persisted.” A rallying cry for anyone, male or female, no matter the pursuit.  Don’t give up. Never give up.
