Here are a few additional announcements for May.

• Karate Alberta is holding a tournament in Red Deer on May 31 – this is for both recreational and Provincial Qualifier competitors.  If you would like to participate, go to the Karate Alberta website.  On the homepage under the heading “May 31st Karate Alberta Open Package Posted”, download the tournament package.  This will give you the forms, waivers and all the information you need to take part in the tournament.  For more information please talk to Sempai Chris Workman and provide your forms and fees by no later than Thursday, May 22.
• More information about Soke Sensei’s visit to Canmore (August 7 to 10) is available here:  http://ryusan.com/SummerCamp/.  If you are planning on attending, please let me know by the end of June so the planning committee can better manage the venue and schedules. 
• Based on how busy June is with yearend school and sports activities, we have decided to run our club party in September.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will all have a bit more time in our schedules to enjoy it.  Please watch for more information about the venue, volunteers and party format.
