Karate Alberta's Casino has been an on again, off again event for us the last number of months due to the various restrictions the pandemic has placed on their operations. Karate Alberta has been given the opportunity by the AGLC to volunteer at the Cash Casino on July 22nd & 23rd.  This is absolutely the best bang-for-the-buck way to raise funds for our athletes, and we can’t afford to miss out.

Karate Alberta is looking for volunteers right now:

A commitment for people to block off time to come and help work the Casino. There are two Cash Cage shifts (11:00AM-7:30PM & 6:30PM-3:30AM) and one count room shift (11:00PM-3:30AM) on each of the two days for a total volunteer requirement of 6 people on each shift (6 for the day, 6 for the evening and 6 for the count room close) for each day.   Please use the following  sign-up sheet to specify what shift(s) you can take,

If you are able to commit right away please fill out the AGLC Volunteer Form and sent back to the Casino Chair via email: Dave Maffitt <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.;

Date of the Casino: July 22nd and July 23rd, 2021 (Thursday & Friday)

Location: Cash Casino, 4040 Blackfoot Trail SE

If you’ve never volunteered before, please consider doing so – it is fun and easygoing – definitely not a stressful activity.  It’s a great way to meet and connect with other KA members, and they even throw in meals and refreshments! For all Karate Alberta team members volunteering at the Casino will count toward your volunteer points commitment for the upcoming provincial team season.

With a number of members on or trying out for the provincial team our club needs to support for this event.
